Where My Nine Games gets game titles and cover images, how they are used, and how rights holders can request removal

Last updated: October 28, 2026

My Nine Games helps you find the games you want in your grid. This page explains where that information comes from and how to ask us to remove something.

SourceWhat we useLicense / terms
WikidataGame names in English, Japanese and Chinese, release years, and links to Steam store entriesStructured data is available under CC0
Steam store searchLocalized game names and store IDs for games sold on SteamPublic store search; Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation

We also expand a short list of common abbreviations (for example FF7 → Final Fantasy VII) before searching.

Search results are fetched when you search and may be cached for up to a day. We do not import or republish these databases.

Cover images

  • Covers come from Steam's public store images (shared.steamstatic.com) for games that are sold on Steam. Your browser loads them directly from Steam; we do not copy them to our servers.
  • Games that are not on Steam, such as many console exclusives, have no cover in our search. They appear as a title tile, or you can use your own image.
  • Images you upload stay in your browser and are only drawn into the image you download.
  • Share link preview cards are generated from your grid when you create the link and stored with your share page.

All game names, logos and cover art are the property of their respective owners. They are shown only to identify each game in a personal list. My Nine Games is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve, any game publisher, or other "My 9 Games" websites.

Requesting removal

If you own the rights to a cover image or other material shown on My Nine Games and want it removed, email support@myninegames.com with:

  1. the page URL (for example a share page at myninegames.com/s/…) or the game title;
  2. what you would like removed; and
  3. how you are connected to the rights holder.

We aim to reply within a few business days. We can stop showing a specific cover in search results and remove share pages or preview images that use it.

To report a share page for other reasons, use Report this page at the bottom of that page.
